Effective June 2026 for City residents
NEW PICKUP DAYS ARE COMING!
GARBAGE AND RECYCLING ROUTE UPDATES FOR CITY OF VENICE RESIDENTS
Starting the first week of implementation June 1, 2026, the City is updating residential and commercial can collection routes to improve efficiency and service reliability.
NOTE: Residents will still have 2-day-a-week collections, but your collection days may change.
Key Changes

Wednesday and Saturday service is eliminated to align with landfill hours and improve neighborhood safety.

Commercial dumpster routes remain unchanged.

New routing technology will be used to reduce vehicle wear and streamline operations.

As our City grows, these updates consolidate routes to reduce miles driven and allow drivers to become experts in their assigned zones. These shifts also ensure better access to maintenance and support a better work-life balance for our staff.
