The Law Enforcement Accreditation recognizes professional excellence. It is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a law enforcement agency. The Venice Police Department is proud to be state accredited through the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc. (CFA). Accreditation, in conjunction with the philosophy of community policing, commits the agency to a broad range of programs, such as crime prevention, that directly benefit the public.
The Venice Police Department achieved re-accreditation in September 2012 and has maintained that accreditation to this day.
The Venice Police Department seeks re-accreditation on August 14th-16th, 2018 by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA).
The assessment team invites public comments.
