Have you ever wondered HOW a building gets to look the way it does? WHY are some buildings close to the road and some farther away? From 2016 to early 2018, the City of Venice concentrated on updating the City's Comprehensive Plan which went into effect on January 12th, 2018.

The 2017-2027 Comprehensive Plan creates a vision for the City, guiding future development in a direction representative of resident concerns. Understanding community values today ensures the City can support and advance those values tomorrow.
