The 2017-2027 City of Venice Comprehensive Plan went into effect on January 12, 2018. on November 28, 2017, City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2017-22, providing for adoption of the 2017-2027 Comprehensive Plan, which replaced in its entirety the 2010 Comprehensive Plan. This Plan was amended by an update, the 2045 Comprehensive Plan. This new Plan was adopted through Ordinance No. 2025-14 and became effective on December 24, 2025.
