Phase III Watering Restrictions extended through 10/1

Due to extreme drought conditions, the Southwest Florida Water Management District's Modified Phase III one-day-per-week water shortage restrictions, in place since April 3 in Venice City limits, have been extended through Oct. 1, 2026.
 
Community Resource Officers with the Venice Police Department are issuing violation citations. Tickets are $75 for the first offense and $175 for each subsequent offense.
Restrictions for City residents include:
💦 Watering Hours (Sprinklers)
✅ Watering 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. OR 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., once per week
💦 Hand Watering
✅ Any day before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
💦 New Lawns/Landscaping
✅ First 30 days, any day during restricted hours; days 31-60, 3 days per week during restricted hours
