The Venice Museum is looking for volunteers who like history or gardening. If you have an interest in history, enjoy interacting with others, and can make a commitment of three hours a week, there are opportunities to serve as a docent at the museum. Docents greet visitors, orient them on what to expect, answer questions, and ring up sales in the gift shop. It’s a great way to promote the City of Venice and its history to people visiting the museum.

If you have a green thumb, we are also looking for people who would like to help with maintaining and improving the landscaping around the Venice Museum, Old Betsy Museum, and the Julia Cousins Laning and Dale Laning Archives & Research Center. This includes watering, weeding, and some planting. Hours and schedule are flexible.
