As part of the City of Venice’s Capital Improvement Program for the Intracoastal Waterway Second Force Main project, the Utilities Department will be installing a 24-inch gravity sewer main across E. Venice Ave. at the Warfield Ave. intersection.
The work is scheduled to start on Monday, Nov. 3 and be completed by Nov. 24, which is subject to change if conflicts are uncovered during installation.
Traffic patterns will temporarily be changed with lane closures to accommodate the proposed work. Traffic control will be performed in two phases to avoid full closure of E. Venice Ave. Message boards and traffic control signs will be on site to safely direct motorists through work zones.
During the work, large equipment and machinery will be within the road right-of-way. Motorists should obey all posted traffic control signs. Please drive slowly, use caution, and watch out for pedestrians and workers.
The Utilities Department appreciates your patience as we work to improve our community’s infrastructure. For more information, visit venicegov.com/government/utilities/projects.
