Governor DeSantis' Executive Order 20-91 requires all persons in Florida to limit their movements and personal interactions outside of their home to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or conduct essential activities. This order went into effect April 3 and expires April 30.

City of Venice declares Local State of Emergency 3/16

Ed Lavallee Signs Local State of Emergency for COVID-19Venice City Manager Ed Lavallee signed Executive Order No. 2020-01 this morning declaring a Local State of Emergency and activating the City of Venice Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. This Local State of Emergency shall remain in effect for a period of 7 days unless extended or canceled before such time expires.
