A contractor for the City of Venice Utilities Department has begun work for the Venetian Parkway Utility Relocation Project (water and sewer). Giannetti Contracting Corp. is excavating to locate existing utilities, remove the roadway surface, and install new gravity sewer.

For the week of March 30, work continues on Roberta Street and Venetian Parkway, between Karen Drive and Barbara Drive within the road right of way. The project is expected to continue through June 2021. Work hours are limited to between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

A boil water advisory is scheduled for Monday, March 30, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. during water main work. Affected residents should follow instructions on signs and door hangers. Boiled water is not required for washing your hands.

The roadway will remain open to local traffic only. There will be obstructed views and possible intermittent full or partial road closures.

Motorists are advised to please drive slowly and use caution.

Subsequent updates will be provided as necessary for changed conditions and as the project progresses.
