Governor DeSantis' Executive Order 20-91 requires all persons in Florida to limit their movements and personal interactions outside of their home to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or conduct essential activities. This order went into effect April 3 and expires April 30.

UPDATE: Capri Isles Bridge Project pile driving 2/24

Capri Isles Bridge pile driving 2.21.20Construction continues on the Capri Isles Bridge Replacement Project in Venice, with complete closure of Capri Isles Boulevard at the Curry Creek Bridge. 

The contractor will begin driving piles on Monday, Feb. 24. This pile driving is expected to occur intermittently throughout the next 2 weeks. Residents in the area should be aware this construction work will cause intermittent noise that may be heard up to a half-mile away.

Residents in the immediate vicinity have been contacted and notified of the work by project staff. 

Currently, southbound motorists are being detoured on Edmondson Road to Auburn Road. Northbound motorists are being detoured on Ridgewood Avenue to Pinebrook Road. Local traffic only is allowed on Capri Isles Blvd. north and south of the bridge. Golfers should enter the golf course from the south. The bridge is also closed to boat traffic. The bridge is scheduled to be opened to motorists by June 30, 2020.

Informational signs are posted near the site, alerting the public of the construction and detours. Your patience is appreciated as this project is completed.
