Beach Water Advisory Lifted. The Sarasota County Health Department has lifted the beach water advisory at Venice Beach after follow-up tests were well within the safe range. All areas of the beach are safe for swimming and other recreational pursuits at this time.
Brohard Dog Park will be closed for maintenance Feb. 9. It will reopen at its regular time on Feb. 10.
Book Fair Date Changed
The Venice International Book Fair and Writers Festival has been changed from Feb. 11 to April 7. More information to come.
