Venice Archives and Area Historical Collection

The mission of the Venice Archives and Area Historical Collection is to collect and preserve historical and archeological material relating to Venice and the communities of Nokomis, Laurel and Osprey, whose histories have all been interwoven from 1867 to the present time. Permanent displays include exhibits regarding the life of Dr. Fred Albee and local fossils collected by Roy and Helen Burgess. A special exhibit is changed periodically.

Opening Day At Venice February 27, 1926:
A Photographic Journey by Grover Koons

The exhibit of photographs taken of the construction of Venice in 1926 will be on display through the end of October.

The public is invited. The Archives is open January through April: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday May through December: Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
