The Purchasing Department provides for the purchase of goods, services and construction of the highest quality and at the most reasonable cost, while still providing maximum access and equal opportunity to qualified corporations, partnerships and individuals desiring to sell those goods, services and construction to the city.

Contracts for the procurement of supplies, services and construction by the City of Venice shall be made through fair and open competition using competitive bids, requests for proposals, requests for quotations and other practices which will result in the award of contracts equitably and economically.

The City of Venice is continuously seeking vendors, suppliers and contractors who can provide quality products and services at competitive prices. We encourage minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and small businesses to become certified vendors with the city.
