Keeping the public informed is one of the city’s highest priorities. There are several ways in which the city endeavors to communicate with its citizens:
Venice City E-News is an electronic newsletter published monthly. It is available on this Web site under "resident," or may be e-mailed to anyone who provides an e-mail address. To be included on the e-mail group list, send the request to pjohnso@ci.venice.fl.us.
The city publishes an annual calendar, which contains dates of meetings and special events, as well as other information regarding city services. It is available at Venice City Hall, 401 W. Venice Ave. while supplies last.
Venice Views, a 30-minute television talk show, airs on Wednesdays, at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Comcast Channel 21.
And, of course, the city’s official Web site: www.venicegov.com.
E-mail announcements regarding street closures, and other traffic or construction concerns in the city, are made frequently. To be included on the e-mail group list, send the request to pjohnso@ci.venice.fl.us.
City staff members, including the public information officer, are available for public speaking.
Media needing information may contact the public information office.
To contact Public Information Officer Pam Johnson, call 486-2626, Ext. 24005 or e-mail: pjohnso@ci.venice.fl.us.
