Venice Municipal Airport sits on 835 acres in southwest Sarasota County. It is surrounded on the north by the city of Venice, on the south by Lake Venice Golf Club, on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway and on the west by the Gulf of Mexico.
The airport has two asphalt base runways that are 5,000 feet long and 150 feet wide. It is surrounded by a security fence. It has an estimated 164,495 operations (take offs and landings) yearly. About 234 aircraft are based there.
