asset status
Indicates whether fixed assets are active, disposed, retired, or fully depreciated (if depreciable).
asset sub-type
Divides an asset type into more specific categories.
asset type
Classifies an asset by the purpose the asset serves. Typical asset type classifications are equipment, vehicles, furniture, fixtures, land, and buildings.
audit log
Record of changes, deletions, and additions that users make to FA application files. Audit logs may provide valuable information in the event that data is lost or corrupted.
base asset
Original asset before any additional improvements are added on. A base asset is identified by the asset number followed by four zeros, for example 0000048-0000.
browser
Program that allows you to navigate the web. SunGard Public Sector NaviLine applications require the browser to be Microsoft Internet Explorer.
command line
Line at the bottom of the screen that allows you to work directly with the iSeries. You use the command line to view a spooled file or call a program.
condition code
Identifies the condition of assets at the time they are acquired.
Connect Care
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system used by SunGard Public Sector to maintain information about customers, products, and support cases.
cost center
Contains specific account data that relates to individual asset types. Each asset that you plan to use in the asset data conversion must be assigned to a cost center.
depreciable value
Purchase cost or capitalized cost minus the salvage value minus life-to-date depreciation.
depreciation
Decline in economic value. Spreading out the original expense of the asset over its estimated economic life.
depreciation accounting transactions
Transactions that are sent to GMBA each time you run the Depreciation Update/Report.
depreciation schedule
Schedule of remaining depreciation for a selected asset.
disposal transactions
Transactions that occur when you dispose of assets and asset improvements.

SunGard Public Sector service that offers a fast and easy way for you to receive documents that will assist in resolving questions about application processing and information support.
fixed asset
Item that has physical substance and a total life of at least one year. Fixed assets are acquired as capital investments rather than as short term consumption items.

SunGard Public Sector application that allows you to control who uses applications, menus, functions, and subfunctions.
method of acquisition
Identifies how assets are acquired, such as purchase, grants, and gifts.
method of disposal
Identifies how assets are disposed of by your organization.
MyHTE
Secured area of SunGard Public Sector’s web site that allows you to create new support logs, check the status of an existing support log, search for solutions to a problem, e-mail customer support, and access Fax Support documents.
output queue
A group of jobs waiting to output to a device such as a printer.
pass-through
Feature that allows SunGard Public Sector employees to log onto your computer and fix or diagnose problems. A detailed record is created for each session, allowing you to view information about a specific pass-through session.
PCR
Product change request. A PCR is created in Connect Care when it is determined that a programming change to required for a product.
physical inventory batch status
Indicates the status of physical inventory batches collected using a bar code reader and electronically transferred to FA for processing.
physical inventory record status
Indicates the status of physical inventory records processed in FA.
PTF
Program temporary fix. Used to repair problems or bugs. You install PTFs from a tape you receive from SunGard Public Sector's Distributions department.
QHTE
User profile that SunGard Public Sector personnel use to assist with software-related problems on your system.
QSECOFR
Security Officer user profile. This is usually your information services officer.
Query
IBM tool that allows you to obtain information from the iSeries database. You can select, arrange, and present information in the form of a report.
Questys
Third-party application used with SunGard Public Sector's imaging interface.
salvage value
Expected residual worth of an item if it were to be disposed of by sale after it is fully depreciated.
six month convention
Feature that calculates six months of depreciation for an item during the first year of ownership regardless of when during the year your organization purchased the asset. If the asset is disposed before it fully depreciates, FA depreciates the remaining value up to six months worth of depreciation.
spool file
iSeries file used to temporarily store data for later processing. Many reports print to your spool file, where you can review them prior to sending them to the printer.
subfunction
Function that performs operations on other functions or menu options. Your security officer can grant authority to specific functions and subfunctions.
submitted jobs
Task that is waiting for processing by the iSeries.
subset
Feature to help customize the list of selectable items on a screen to meet your specific needs.
system administrator
Individual who controls security across all SunGard Public Sector applications.
System i5

test environment
